This document outlines the Terms of Use, Copyright, and Licensing Agreement governing all digital and physical media assets produced, published, or distributed by Buraopost Newsletter (hereinafter referred to as "BBN"). By accessing, viewing, downloading, or requesting a license for any BBN content, you acknowledge and agree to be bound by these terms.
1. Intellectual Property & Ownership
Buraopost Newsletter (BBN) retains full, exclusive, and perpetual ownership of all intellectual property rights associated with its media assets. This includes, but is not limited to, photography, videography, written articles, graphical elements, logos, and audio recordings. All content is protected under international copyright laws, treaties, and the intellectual property regulations of the jurisdiction in which BBN operates.
The display of BBN content on third-party platforms (social media, aggregators, search engines) does not constitute a waiver of these rights. Any use of BBN content without an explicit, written license or a verified Security Token is a direct violation of this policy.
2. Licensing Categories & Usage
BBN offers media licenses strictly under the following categories. Each license is tied to a specific Security Token generated during the application process:
- Editorial License: Strictly for use in legitimate news reporting, documentary, or educational contexts. Content must not be altered, and the original meaning must be preserved.
- Commercial License: Required for any use intended to promote a product, service, brand, or corporation. This includes use in advertising, marketing collateral, corporate websites, and social media ad campaigns.
- Personal Use License: Limited to private, non-commercial display (e.g., personal blogs without ad revenue). Redistribution is strictly prohibited.
3. The Security Token System
To combat unauthorized redistribution and digital piracy, BBN utilizes a proprietary Security Token System. Every valid license request is assigned a unique alphanumeric string (e.g., BBN-A1B2-C3D4).
This token serves as a digital fingerprint for your application. Use of BBN assets without a valid token associated with your organization or identity is considered unauthorized. BBN utilizes automated web-crawling technology to match published assets against our database of issued tokens.
4. Restrictions & Prohibited Acts
The following actions are strictly prohibited and will result in immediate revocation of any existing licenses and potential legal action:
- Alteration: Cropping, editing, color-grading, or otherwise modifying the asset in a way that distorts the original context or removes BBN watermarks/metadata.
- Sub-licensing: You may not re-sell, lease, or distribute BBN assets to third parties.
- AI Training: The use of BBN text or imagery to train Artificial Intelligence (AI) models, machine learning algorithms, or generative systems is explicitly forbidden without a specialized enterprise agreement.
- Scraping: Automated downloading or "scraping" of the BBN repository is a violation of our Terms of Service.
5. Attribution Requirements
Unless a "No-Attribution" Commercial License has been purchased, all published instances of BBN media must include clear, visible credit. The required format is:
6. DMCA & Enforcement
BBN takes the protection of its intellectual property seriously. We maintain a zero-tolerance policy towards copyright infringement.
DMCA Takedowns: In the event of unauthorized use, BBN reserves the right to issue Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) takedown notices to web hosts, social media platforms, and internet service providers to remove the infringing content immediately.
Legal Action: Persistent or commercial infringement may lead to legal proceedings seeking damages for lost revenue, statutory damages, and legal fees.
